Perpetually Precocious

Mes amis it's 2008. And lawds it is going to be a great year. The best of the past decade. Yes, I believe.

For 18 months I've been building various initiatives big and small. My goals are to change the world (for the better), to make a bit of money doing it, and to provide opportunity for many more to do the same.

I've had a chip on my shoulder for much of this time — mostly because very few people have shown belief in me despite the fact that they've witnessed numerous large advances. I wonder... is it so much a disbelief in me, or a lack of belief in themselves?

People seem to be low on hope these days. People seem to have forgotten how to dream.

So. I'm going to try and change that one too. A new goal for 2008. I'm going to introduce you to inspirational people who've stood up to CLAIM what they want. People not afraid to hope.

Peeps. Make 2008 a year of dreams. My friends will show you how.

PS__ The post image above was sent to me today by my friend Lemonspank.

She dreamed of running a marathon to raise money for Diabetes Canada. She trained. And trained. And trained. She went to Dublin. She ran. And ran. And ran. And she did it against amazing odds (and a lot of outside drama that she also conquered (victoriously, might I add)). Today's heroine.

PS²__ Question: Is that kid looking AT the girl's skirt? Or under? You decide. :)

Yes'm. I'm torn with care and the resentment for that care. I have a pretty rigorous weeding-out policy — it's just frustrating when it comes from peeps closer to you.
