.:..::.: from the laptop of mandy candy

*Drum roll please....* The Blaspheme Bourne blog welcomes Dolly Dresden and Cale Simpson to their line of writers.  They are both Vancouverites and they will be presenting their creativity to the world. Their passions about music and fashion just had to be brought out. Ladies and gents - meet Dolly and Cale!

With their knowledge about music and fashion, they want to share what they know with the world. Want to know more about them? Here's what they have to say___

I think the best title of this blurb would be: (awkward pause) “Ummm…”

Ok, so hi! I’m Dolly or DD if you prefer, as you could guess I’m new to Blaspheme Bourne. I enjoy acting and singing above most other things, and I spend more time on/behind stage or reading then I do sleeping. I’m a North Van-ian, don’t hold it against me, and I love the Vancouver music scene with a passion. If you know me, you know that “Mosh-pit-moments” define my life. Some call me odd and scary, I prefer quirky and interesting. I’m ecstatic about writing on BB, and… I’m god awful at writing conclusions so I shall say, “I hope I don’t screw up” and be done with it.

(Taking a bow)
Love,
Dolly Dresden

Well first of all, heylo to all the guests of the Blaspheme Bourne website. I am a transient soul that likes to stick around and watch things grow.  I live in Vancouver hoping to report on the come-ups of local musicians and artists, in order to bring exposure to those hoping to bloom.

I have a lot of loves in my life; they include people watching, a good cup of coffee, above average conversation, music with wit and/or soul, my friends, traveling, eating out, scotch—or whiskey, if I care less about taste and more about consumption—books, the beach, getting wild, getting mellow, the colour navy blue, the blues, photography, a good porch that is attached to a good cabin, a good lake, and a good party.  There are more, but you may not still be reading so I will leave their exposure to chance.

At the moment I am a student at Langara College majoring in English, and I will be starting my photography certificate this summer.  I am working towards a career in journalism, writing, photography, and/or photojournalism.  All in all I am really easy going and always up for an easy going conversation, so if you see me out say hello hello and how you doin’ and I will jump back at ya with a similarly friendly reply.

‘til zen
Cale
